First, let me get this mission statement out of the way.
MarketingforWAHM.com's mission is to provide well-researched and tested instructional information and resources about developing marketing strategies. These resources assist other WAHMs develop a strong marketing strategy that will develop a competitive and profitable business. In addition, they will help the moms gain the income and time to meet the individual needs of their families. The moms at MarketingforWAHM.com have been there. Their wish is to help make the process of marketing a home business easier for other moms.

I am here to make sweet money just like you, but first, I want you to make money and then I want to make money off you. Sorry, to sound like Jack Sparrow explaining one of his complicated, yet brilliant plans that others don't get till they see it played out.
So, how is my plan played out?
I offer free instructive easy-to-understand marketing information that you can use to create a profitable business. If you choose to go beyond and learn more in-depth marketing skills and strategies to become something others can't dream you can become (like a growing, thriving business), then pay for my coaching and consulting services or my programs which will help you get there and prove them wrong.
So, see, I have good intentions just like Jack Sparrow, but don't go telling anyone. Kidding, please, do, go, tell everyone; facebook, twitter, whatever...
Who am I?
My name is Emily Bonilla and I am a marketing-holic. I love everything marketing. Since, I was 7 years old, selling water to the neighborhood kids, because I didn't have lemons to make lemonade, to today where here I am again selling information to my neighborhood moms, I love marketing (selling where people come to me instead).
My Humble Beginnings
I came from a poor upbringing and knew since I was little that I wanted to be a successful single businesswoman with no kids. That didn't happen; I now have a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys. What did happen was that I went from a poor kid, to college and not knowing what I wanted to do in life, back to what I originally wanted to do. Sorry, for sounding like Jack Sparrow again, but it is a long story and I am trying to make this short for you.
Jumping Ahead
Long story short, I ended up starting and running a big wedding business that provided photography, videography, DJ, and coordinating services. I never had a real job beyond the teenage-part-time type of jobs. I was happy doing my own thing and being in control of my own life. I quickly learned that I could make more money or less money depending on certain actions I took (marketing). I started testing and decided to grow the business bigger and expand into other markets. I grew the business from $30,000 a year to $150,000 in 3 months.
My Life Changing Choice/Person
I decided to close this business when I became pregnant with my second child who was high maintenance from the day he was conceived. I was bed-ridden during the second half of the pregnancy and then child-bound by his behavior and still am. He has been in his terrible 2's since birth and is now 4 and I am still waiting for him to outgrow it. Needless to say, running a business with several employees, meeting with clients, and expecting to have my child with me at all times was not going to work.
What I Decided To Do
I then decided to do all my work online where no one would have to hear him screaming because I won't allow him to have 10 cookies. I went back to school and completed my Master's degree in Internet Marketing. I worked on the sites of a few fortune 500 companies, and then settled down with a few small business clients whom I preferred to work with. Nevertheless, my passion has been working with work at home moms who want to start or grow their business.
Where MarketingforWAHM.com Comes In
With MarketingforWAHM.com I get to work with moms who are taking control of their lives. They are not asking what the government can do for the economy but what they can do for the economy. Sorry, I had to bring in some politics. However, really, the economy is why you are here. Moreover, most important is that you want to be part of the solution. You want to get yourself where you want to be. That is very courageous and awesome.
I had people telling me while I was running my 6-figure business, that I should get a "real" job. Hello! People like me were creating jobs!!! At one time, I had 8 employees and 8 freelancers.
On this website, you are encouraged to go after your goals, and we will help you get there. I want to see you succeed. I want to tell others "look what I did for ____". Yes, I get to brag about you and take some of the credit for your success. How awesome is that?
What You Won't Find Here
You won't find me trying to squeeze money out of you for something that doesn't work. I make sure that all my information, advice and products will bring you results. However, it is up to you to take action and make it work. If you do nothing with the information I give you, nothing will happen.
I do have links, banners, and advertisers on my site. I do my best to make sure they are good companies, however, some advertisements are automated by Google, and I don't have control over those. If you want to ad your company on our website, visit our advertising page for more information.
I also have an area where others can provide a review on my and other's products. If you want to provide your product or service for review, visit our marketplace. I do try to weed out bad companies ahead of time or spammy submissions. If you want to make sure you are placed, provide an article of relevance that is 500 words or longer and not just some sentence saying, "review my product please".
