Here is my first tip:
Do what I am doing? No, not typing this. Well, yeah I guess it is. Create your own 12 days of "something" for the holidays for your customers.
Start with the customers you have and then we will go from there later in the next days to come.
1. Create an idea that would work for your current customers for a 12 Day Holiday "Something".
Some Ideas:
If you are selling jewelry, maybe your "something" can be 12 Days of Holiday Jewelry Joy for Your Loved Ones. Each day you can share an idea that your customer can use to make a special jewelry gift for someone or combine 12 different jewelry gifts to make a special gift for one special person. Think of it like the song "The 12 days of Christmas" where the loved one gets a gift each day for 12 days.
If you don't have a product to sell as gifts, you can offer a product from a company that has an affiliate program and still make some money from giving your customers gift ideas. You can tell them that you found these great gift ideas in your research and want to share it with them.
2. Get permission before you start sending emails with a 12 Day offer.
When asking for permission make it personable and beneficial to to the customer, not like you are going to sell to them.
For instance, you can say: "Hi -customer name-, I know the holidays are getting close and in a recession it can be hard to think of affordable gifts to give, so I am sharing some money saving gift ideas that I think you would love. I am researching this information for you and will like to provide it to you in 12 Special Holiday emails spread out -daily, weekly-. Subscribe below to give me permission to count you in.”
3. Now, from the above you are probably thinking, "What emails?".
To make this as automated as possible, you will have the 12 emails ready to go ahead of time. You can do this using an autoresponder email program that you own or you can visit Aweber to use their service for $20/month. Aweber is the best service I have found at a great price and I researched tons of them. However, if you use Site Build It for your web hosting they offer autoresponders and more for only $300 per year (Canadian currency).
4. Don't get the 12 days of emails started yet, I have more tips coming for you that you may want to use in the 12 emails.
